What makes women sexy?
Forget size zero specimens like Victoria Beckham. It's the curvy types like Dita Von Teese that get male hormones buzzing.
Confirming what many men have being saying for millennia, a recent study by the University of Texas published in a Royal Society journal, found that the sexiest women have substantial breasts, wide hips and a tiny waist.
While there have been trends for larger women - embodied by Rubens' plump beauties - a preference for a slimmer waist generally has been constant throughout the centuries.
"The classic hourglass figure tells a man three important things at a glance: first, the woman is not already pregnant; second, a narrow waist shows that she is of reproductive age; and third, she is healthy and free from disease," said the report's author Professor Devendra Singh.
According to evolutionary psychologists like Prof Singh, we identify certain parts of the female body as indicators of fertility and health. So women who look capable of reproducing are considered the epitome of feminine beauty.
A preference for a pronounced female waist-to-hip ratio (WHR) is an example of an evolved male preference that helps them choose high-quality mates.
But if you want to bypass a man's evolutionary predilection, do what women have done for centuries - cheat.
