5 a day - five portions of fruit and vegetables a day - is the current UK government campaign to get us to eat more of what's better for us. Potatoes don't count, nor do dietary supplements - so no cheating!

The average Brit is only eating the equivalent of just over half of the 'five a day' - and some experts believe we really need ten portions a day or even more.
