OUCH it hurts....
The Organisation for the Understanding of Cluster Headache, OUCH (UK) helps and advises people about cluster headache – a condition which is less common than migraine, yet 10 times more painful.
Light at the end of the tunnel
Trustee and chronic sufferer, Val Hobbs says the principle aims of the charity are to increase public awareness about the condition and support sufferers and their families.
OUCH UK also works with the medical profession to help foster a greater understanding of the condition, its prevalence, diagnosis and treatments.
"The single most important service we offer is the helpline. I’m not joking when I say that we have literally saved lives, "I spoke to one guy who was on the top of a multi-storey car park and he said, I can’t take this anymore. He rang us as a last cry for help." This man didn’t jump.
